The Story
Three Palms is a small candle company founded in Palm Springs, CA and now based in Boulder City/Las Vegas, NV. Our candles are made by hand at our desert home, crafted with soy wax and thoughtful blends of fragrance and essential oils. Our wax is made from US grown soybeans (no petroleum!) and our fragrance blends are vegan friendly, cruelty, and phthalate free. We use lead and nickel free cotton wicks with paper threads woven into the cotton, ensuring a cleaner and consistent burn. Additionally, as much as we love oh so pretty packaging, we are mindful of our fragile ecosystem. We aim for minimal waste by using recyclable packaging, steering clear of plastic as much as we can. We also encourage our wonderful customers to reuse and recycle as much as possible.
The Maker:
The company is owned and operated by Alexandra London, who holds a diploma in publishing and multimedia alongside a work history in journalism/communications and social services. A Canadian born and raised in Vancouver, Allie moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to marry her now husband. Allie started Three Palms after she and her husband moved from LA to Palm Springs, and is now Boulder City/Las Vegas living. A graphic design admirer and self dubbed "arts and crafts nerd," Allie started with a DIY candle kit and received great feedback from the finished product. From there, she was hooked on candle making and fragrance blending, then turning a hobby into a bona fide venture. With a little help from her lovely husband, who can now add "wick wizard" to his resume, Allie’s vision for candles materialized in late 2018. She continues to grow and foster Three Palms and looks forward to everything on the horizon.
The Values:
In addition to being conscious of our packaging, dedication to low waste and our customers' well being by delivering great products, Three Palms Candle Co. is committed to community and continually doing better. We strongly support access to health care and education, voting rights, and inclusivity for marginalized groups. We stand firm in our opposition to bigotry, intolerance, and sexism. It's a crazy world but advocacy, awareness, and lot of love and rock 'n roll keep us going.
